Korman Construction Ltd. was established in November 1990. In the resulting  period it has became one of the largest construction companies in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). It is well respected and has the reputation for high quality workmanship, and for completion on or before the contract time. It has never been involved in any dispute and/or litigation regarding its services.

Korman Construction Ltd. has a complete design and build capability. It has completed a number of large projects on turnkey basis. Korman Construction Ltd. was the first company to introduce computerised AutoCAD design to TRNC.  Today it has the largest technical and administrative organisation as well as a large fleet of construction plant and equipment in TRNC. Korman Construction Ltd has maintained close relations with contractors and consultants in Turkey and UK and can call on their expertise if required.

The Company has successfully completed projects using FIDIC and CESMM III forms of contract. Personnel also has  experience of ICE 5 and 6 and JCT model forms of contract. Korman has a very impressive list of the completed and ongoing projects including Colony Hotel, Venus Beach Hotel, Korineum Golf and Country Club, Deniz Kızı Hotel, DAK College, ODTU Foundation Building and Government Audit Department  Building. Every project which is undertaking by Korman is covered by an “All Risk” insurance policy to give the additional security and comfort to the customer.

Korman Construction has First Class Building and Infrastructure Works Certificates.

The company has obtained ISO 9001 : 2000 standard in July 2003.

PERSONNEL
Korman Construction Ltd is owned by two experienced engineers, both of whom have extensive overseas experience. The Chairman, Dr. Gunay H. Cherkez worked as a consultant and contractor for more than 35 years, most of which was in England. He also has wide Middle East experience. He is also very active in technology sector and he is the Director of KKTCELL, owner of Kıbrısonline Internet Company and Digitech İletişim Ltd. He is Vice President of Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Commerce.  Director Mr. Fuat Kutlu has 33 years of construction experience, 4 of which were spent in the Middle East. He is a member of the executive board of Turkish Cypriot Contractors’ Association. Most of the other engineers and architects working for the Company have worked overseas and have a good command of English.

More than 195 architects, engineers, technicians administrative, skilled and semi-skilled personnel on the payroll have wide experience in all aspects of building construction and infrastructure in their respective fields.

CYPRUS POOLS LTD. :

Cyprus Pools Ltd. is a company specializing in designing, building and maintaining of all kinds of structures related to swimming pools, water treatment, desalination (RO) plants and sewerage treatment plants. In addition to building more than 600 domestic pools it has completed the swimming pools, sewerage treatment and water features of many hotels and touristic facilities. Potable water production for large facilities using RO systems is another area that the company is currently involved.

Cyprus Pools employs a large number of mechanical and environmental engineers, technicians and skilled trade man. A large maintenance team provides professional maintenance services at very competitive prices.

KORMAN BETON LTD. :
Korman Beton Ltd. is a company which is set up to produce ready mix concrete both for the group and for the construction sector. Two batch mixing plants, three concrete pumps, twenty two mixers, two bulk cement carriers two water tankers and all associated equipment provide a full service with a capacity of  2400 m³ of concrete daily.  Korman Beton Ltd. is the only company in TRNC producing lightweight concrete with excellent sound and heat insulation properties for use in construction industry.

NAYAT YAPI LTD. :
Nayat Yapı Ltd. is a company established to supply both Korman Construction and Cyprus Pools with a variety of building materials and supplies, including water and damp-proofing materials and sound insulation products. Nayat Yapı Ltd. is the distributor of a number of companies including Degusa products.
